Day-by-day Breakdown:

  • Travel to Kersik Tuo Village: After reaching Sungai Penuh, drive for about 2 hours to Kersik Tuo Village, the basecamp for Mount Kerinci.

  • Check-in at Basecamp: On arrival, check into your accommodation and meet your guide.

  • Safety Briefing & Preparation: Your guide will provide safety instructions, route details, and equipment checks. Any last-minute supplies can be purchased.

  • Steep Climbing Sections: Post-lunch, the trail becomes more challenging. Keep hydrated and pace yourself.

  • Dinner & Rest: Local dinner followed by rest for acclimatization.

Day 3: Summit Attempt & Descent

  • Early Morning Start: Begin the summit push around 2-3 AM to reach the summit by sunrise. This section is steep and physically demanding, so use headlamps and pace yourself.
